Chewy's Tips for Being a Good Dog Host

The holiday season is a time for gathering with friends and family, and sometimes that includes dog guests, too! If your dog is comfortable welcoming other dogs into your home (some are not!), Chewy has some tips to ensure a merry celebration with furry, 4-legged friends.

Tip #1: Decorate with shatterproof ornaments, especially in areas within reach of dogs (and young children).
Hmm...are sparkly balls NOT for playing fetch?

Tip #2: Prepare a feast of healthy, dog-friendly delights for happy and content bellies.

Unseasoned, roasted turkey breast and veggies, and pies for dessert!

Tip #3: Have clean-up supplies on hand in case of accidents or territorial claims of the pee variety.

Please don't pee on my bed...

Tip #4: Show gratitude for any host gifts your guests bring.

Thanks for the Santa!

Tip #5: Share your belongings.

Including your toys,

your bed,

and your water bowl.

Tip #6: Plan activities to entertain your furry friends, such as preparing treat-dispensing toys.

Tip #7: Eat from your designated dinner bowl. No stealing food, no matter how slowly your guests eat!

Tip #8: Take some time to snuggle with the human guests so they don't feel left out.

Tip #9: Don't forget to have fun!

I'm gonna catch you!

We hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Product Review: Fruitables Vanilla Snowflake Flavor

We got to try Fruitables' new limited edition Vanilla Snowflake Flavor treats, and Chewy did not want to let them out of his sight!

Mine.

He is even on standby as I write this because the treat bag is on my desk. There are only a couple of drool spots on the floor so far...

Wutcha got there, Santa puppy?

These are the first and only treats made with real snowflakes (patent pending). Fruitables combined fresh, high altitude snow from the Rockies with their pumpkin granola and yogurt recipe, producing this crunchy and "creamy" treat. Each treat is only 9 calories, and can easily be broken into even smaller pieces for those pups who are watching their weight.

These are Reindeer Chewy snacks, right?

I like how the doggy on the bottom left of the package is also wearing a Santa hat! Very festive.

These treats are in the regular crunchy Fruitables flower shape, and they smell like vanilla ice cream. Like other Fruitables products, these treats are sourced and made in the USA.

Who wore it better? - Santa suit edition

Each bag of treats contains an estimated 300 snowflakes. Honestly, I thought this concept was a little silly (wouldn't you get the same thing by adding water?), but Chewy loves the treats, so all is well.

Reindeer Chewy and Santa Chewy approved!

Chewy liked these treats so much, he figured Santa Paws would love them, as well! Chewy was very thoughtful and left out a plate for him. Too bad Santa doesn't come for another few days...he might find that all his cookies were eaten by a certain "reindeer!"

Waiting for Santa Paws...zzz...

We give Fruitables Vanilla Snowflake Flavor 4 paws up! They smell great to the people nose, are sourced and made in the USA, and Chewy loves the smell, taste and crunch. At just 9 calories apiece, they make a great holiday treat.

4 paws up for Fruitables Vanilla Snowflake Flavor!
